SCOPE OF SERVICES:
The Business Analyst (BA) with Agile Practitioner expertise will bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation while ensuring Agile best practices are integrated into the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and refining business requirements, supporting backlog management, and facilitating Agile collaboration across cross-functional teams.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), and the ability to work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and QA teams to ensure successful project execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering
Partner with stakeholders, project sponsors, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand, document, and refine business needs.
Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
Conduct impact analysis on new requirements and evaluate dependencies across the system.
Agile Facilitation & Backlog Management
Work closely with the Product Owner to groom, prioritize, and refine the product backlog.
Ensure user stories are well-defined, estimated, and aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements, validate feasibility, and ensure alignment with Agile best practices.
Act as a proxy between business and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
Agile Process Execution
Promote Agile ways of working within teams.
Support teams in identifying process inefficiencies and recommend improvements in Agile execution.
Support the Product Owner in following Agile best practices, including continuous delivery, iterative development, and stakeholder engagement.
Participate in backlog refinement sessions, iteration planning, and sprint reviews.
Quality Assurance & UAT Support
Assist QA teams by defining test cases and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios to validate business requirements.
Work closely with stakeholders to review and approve deliverables before deployment.
Ensure alignment between business needs and system functionality.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Agile software development environments.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean) and experience working in Agile teams.
Ability to write clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
Experience collaborating with Product Owners, Developers, and QA teams in Agile development cycles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on business process improvement.
Experience using Agile tools such as Azure DevOps (preferred) or JIRA.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Familiarity with API-driven development, cloud platforms, and workflow automation.
Knowledge of SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools.
