UNIVERSAL Technologies seeks a Network Operations Center (NOC) Operations Support professional for a hybrid position in Brooklyn, NY. Candidates with active LinkedIn profiles are preferred.
Position
The NOC Operations Support role involves working closely with IT Security teams and external cybersecurity entities to monitor, maintain, and improve the health and security of enterprise-level networks. Responsibilities include incident detection and response, firewall and VPN management, packet-level traffic analysis, and collaboration with infrastructure teams on application delivery and cloud security.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with IT Security and NYC Cyber Command to respond to detected vulnerabilities
Use tools like Splunk to correlate incidents and recommend remediation
Plan, implement, and monitor security measures to protect networks and systems
Troubleshoot, resolve, and enhance network performance and system configurations
Provide operational support and solution design for Cisco ASA and Firepower (FMC/FTD/FXOS) firewalls
Configure and support remote access VPNs and site-to-site tunnels (ISAKMP/IKEv2/VTI/IPSEC/GRE)
Implement load balancing solutions using F5, Avi Networks, or NSX Load Balancer
Configure Cisco ISE for identity and access control
Manage Azure and AWS cloud network environments and firewalls
Support Zscaler policy management and reporting
Use tools like Netscout, Wireshark, tcpdump to analyze network traffic and security risks
Work with vendors to resolve network outages and meet SLAs
Create and maintain network documentation, SOPs, and network diagrams using Visio or Lucidchart
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience in network security (Cisco ASA & Firepower)
5+ years working with F5 load balancers (LTM, GTM, BIG-IQ)
5+ years conducting packet-level analysis
5+ years configuring/troubleshooting Cisco routers and Layer 2/3 switches
5+ years working with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience in the education sector
Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Security+
Experience with VMware NSX and NSX Advanced Load Balancer
Proficiency in Splunk SIEM and Splunk Processing Language (SPL)
Experience managing Azure/AWS infrastructure and Express Route
Strong understanding of network security best practices
Detail-oriented, with excellent documentation and communication skills
Ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
