QA Engineer
UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a QA Engineer for a hybrid role in Brooklyn, NYC. Candidates with an active LinkedIn account are preferred.
Position
The QA Engineer will oversee quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with industry standards for public safety and emergency dispatch applications. This role involves developing and executing test plans, coordinating testing activities with vendors, and supporting both manual and automated testing efforts.

SCOPE OF SERVICES
As a QA Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring compliance with industry regulatory and quality standards.
Developing and executing exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality, specifically for FIRE and EMD dispatch systems.
Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for FIRE and EMD dispatch applications.
Prioritizing and coordinating testing activities with internal teams and associated vendors.
Developing and executing automation scripts to support FIRE and EMD testing processes.
Applying and refining testing processes to maintain and enhance product quality for FIRE and EMD.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Candidates must have the following experience:
Minimum of 12 years in a technical or business application, product, platform, or methodology.
Hands-on experience testing Public Safety/Dispatch Applications or systems.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Previous integration/test experience on large systems.
Proactive problem-solving approach with strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Experience utilizing testing tools such as Selenium Test Suite, Mercury Interactive Tools, Maven, or Rational SQA Suite/Team Test.
