IT Server Engineer
UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a IT Server Engineer for an onsite role based in Brooklyn, NYC. Candidates located in the EST time zone are preferred. An active LinkedIn account is required.
Position: The IT Server Engineer will support the Legacy Replacement Project by addressing technical requirements related to servers, SaaS cloud solutions, and automation tools such as UIPath. The role includes designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions to business problems while collaborating with vendors and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot issues, develop automation scripts, and manage infrastructure components with minimal supervision.

SCOPE OF SERVICES:
As a Systems Engineer, your responsibilities include:
Supporting the Legacy Replacement Project by managing servers, SaaS solutions, and application configurations.
Designing, engineering, and implementing solutions to address business needs.
Administering, monitoring, and maintaining infrastructure components.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues independently.
Developing and maintaining automation scripts to improve efficiency.
Collaborating with vendors to ensure smooth implementation of technical solutions.
Documenting installation and configuration processes.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical roles.
Salesforce administration experience.
Experience managing and configuring web servers (IIS, Tomcat, IBM WebSphere).
Proficiency in Azure AD/Office365 configuration and provisioning.
Expertise in server virtualization, upgrades, and configuration, with a focus on capacity forecasting.
Strong knowledge of automation tools like UIPath and scripting with PowerShell.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
SCCM administration and Citrix VDI imaging.
Proficiency in the following technologies:
Windows 10, VMware, Citrix VDIs
Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022)
Active Directory, DNS, FTP, WSUS, and Group Policies
Office365 (Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online)
Veritas NetBackup and Azure Virtual Desktop
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
